Nina Ricci Small Hobo, Handbag of the Day

Although a pale pink handbag seems fitting for the Summer, this cute little hobo by Nina Ricci makes me want to find a way to incorporate with my Fall wardrobe. The color is light and soft and so of course is the leather.

The Ricci Hobo ($1475) is sparingly adorned with just a knotted bow handle and monochromatic logo on the front zippered pocket, making it a bag that will last for years to come. Even with its small size, the hobo is perfect for your essentials. Dimensions: 8.5" X 16" X 5".

SageTV HD Theater 300 starts to ship

SageTV HD Theater 300 starts to ship

SageTV has begun to ship their very own HD Theater 300 media player that is capable of streaming media files directly from the Internet or via a local network to a connected TV, and it is also capable of keeping up with full HD resolution videos as well. If your friend happens to drop by and pop in a USB flash drive to watch a movie, no problems there. The HD Theater 300 will support HDMI 1.3 and both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD/MA audio output, featuring a remote control to keep couch potatoes happy. It will play nice with SageTV's Media Center software that virtually enables any PC or Mac equipped with an HD tuner card to watch and record live TV - as long as there is enough memory within, of course. Expect to fork out $150 for the SageTV HD Theater 300.

Navteq aims to make navigation more human

Navteq aims to make navigation more human

Navteq is a household name when it comes to GPS technology, and the company aims to make their service a whole lot more human thanks to the introduction of Natural Guidance. This service will drop traditional GPS navigation instructions and will instead provide users with directions which they would have received from friends or family anyways. For example, the system won't spew "turn right in 150 feet" but will instead include "turn right after the yellow shop," or "turn right at the traffic signal," in order to make it a whole lot more intuitive and practical when it comes to giving directions. Of course, the implementation of Natural Guidance won't be easy at all, since current GPS services will still go by street names and distance. Currently, Navteq's Natural Guidance can be used in Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin, and New York, with plans to roll out support for additional cities around the world before 2011 is over. Unfortunately, this won’t prevent people from driving into a ditch as they blindly follow wrong instructions on a GPS unit (this happens sometimes). [Press Release]

Sharp demos new 3D cellphone at IFA 2010

Sharp demos new 3D cellphone at IFA 2010

It looks like Sharp will not let the Nintendo 3DS have all the fun with their latest smartphone that is equipped with a 3D display and will hit the market as rumored before the year is over. To make things more interesting, this special display makes room for 3D graphics without the need to wear active shutter glasses, courtesy of a lenticular lens within. Of course, with a targeted release date of 2010, it wasn't mentioned whether this is limited to the UK, US or Japan markets only. We admit that Sharp made a smart move by offering such a handset, since owning one which requires 3D glasses just doesn't make too much sense.

Sony Walkman Sales Surpass iPod Sales In Japan

Apple is huge in Japan. The iPhone sells well, as do Macs, the iPad and, of course, the iPod. For years, big A's music players haven been outselling Sony's Walkman, the No. 2 favorite device among Japanese consumers. In the past month, however, things have changed (on the picture above, you can see the Sony Walkman S series Sony launched back in May). keywords: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Starcraft II: 3 Million Sold In First Month

Starcraft II has already set the record as the fastest-selling real-time strategy game of all time, at least that's what Blizzard claims. Analysts expect 7 million copies sold this year. Considering that this is just the first part of the game that's quite a win and Blizzard is of course happy about it. Why sell something only once when you can split it up to parts and sell it three times? This way you can keep up the Starcraft hype for another decade. keywords: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Acer Aspire One Happy drops model numbers

Acer Aspire One Happy drops model numbers

Looks like Acer has finally realized that having a slew of alphanumeric model numbers for their Aspire One range of netbooks might just get a tad too confusing after a while, which is why we're ecstatic that the latest model is known as the Acer Aspire One Happy. Basically, it doesn't seem as though it is new, since this is more or less a rebranded Aspire One D255 that comes with a bunch of new bright color options - presumably to make you happy, of course. Both the keyboard and display bezel are white in color, while the lid and palm rest area will be splashed with bright colors to lift up your mood. As for its hardware, expect to find an Intel Atom N550 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM and Windows 7 Starter Edition as the operating system of choice. We hope to see this hit the market sooner rather than later though.

Shiekh Wheels: Rolls-Royce Debuts Bespoke Editions for Abu Dhabi

A regular old Rolls-Royce? Strictly for peasants, my friend. No filthy rich oil sheikh would be caught dead in one. Hence the new bespoke Phantom editions built specially for Abu Dhabi, which as we all know has the actual cash, as opposed to Dubai which thrives on flash and debt thanks to Abu Dhabi's indulgence. Inspired by the emirate's "rich culture and landscape" emphasis on rich - the new models are of course extremely vulgar and insanely expensive. The special edition Phantom Drophead Coupe (above) is called Shaheen, after the local word for the prestigious peregrine falcon used for hunting. It features a marquise-white exterior with Tudor red lines and a red and seashell leather interior, brass falcon inlays and falcon embroidered head-rests. The Phantom sedan meanwhile is named Baynunah after Abu Dhabi's sand dune covered western region. Fittingly finished in shades of brown and tan, it features hand-crafted inlay and marquetry, some of it applied with tweezers to ensure maximum precision, and a solid gold Spirit of Ecstasy on the hood. Better bring a solid gold bucket.

HTC HD3 will run on Windows Phone 7

HTC HD3 will run on Windows Phone 7

The HTC HD2 was one of the more solidly built smartphones from the Taiwanese company in recent years back when that was the flagship model which ran on the Windows Mobile operating system. Well, good news for fans of the HD2 as it has been confirmed that the HD3 will run on Windows Phone 7 according to a spreadsheet that you see above. It is being primed to hit the market come this October 18th, where it was named as the HD7. Not too sure what one might make of this, skipping four numbers in the process. Of course, this leaked document is part of O2 UK's property, so we will wait and see whether more info on a US release is leaked anytime soon or not.

But no worries. Click through for one of the dozen Ustream feeds that doesn't care if you're on a Mac or PC. Hopefully it stays up.
